Up to how may days can your breast be swollen before period?

I am an early bloomer, and my breasts are swollen, and hurting mildily. I start my period around tthis time of month. It started yesterday, but I didnt get my period. I feel no lumps, but my breasts are swollen and sort of hurting. I am younger than 16. How many days can your breast be swollen before period? And if its not my period, what do you think it is?

I know the myth is that P.M.S. is the WEEK before your period, but I start experiencing symptoms 10 days before mine. Usually it's the physical symptoms (headaches, sensitive breasts) that come first, with the exception of the cramps (I get those the 1st day of my period). Then come the hormonal symptoms (moodiness, irritability). I'd say if this is close to your period cycle, THAT is the cause. If not, you're pregnant.

Honestly they can be swollen probably at least a week. They can even be sore before you start pmsing. This is a symptom I always get far before I actually start my period. Don't worry about it!
