If you ever plan on renting something to tow from a place like U-Haul, get the Durango. U-Haul will not rent you ANYTHING to tow if you have an Explorer.

Over the last decade the Explorer definitely had the edge in overall quality and reliability. Hugely so, as a matter of fact. However, the newly redesign Durango has received a goodly amount of acclaim in it's improvement of overall quality. As a matter of fact it received the MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Award at the Chicago Auto Show. Certainly worth considering.

my moms exlporer had many problems,i loved that car but it was a pain. the electrical,suspension,transmision,more electrical.
