While it has been narrated in many authentic Ahadith that Rasulullah (S.A.W.) fasted for most of the month of Shabaan, this cannot be used to prove any special significance for the specific fast of the 15th of Shabaan. He told me that those Ahadith must be explained as they are i.e. for the entire month of Shabaan - not the 15th of the month.
. No, you do not have to fast.It is not allowed there is no hadith of Prophet Muhamad (SAW)..where he has mention it.
2. The sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, is to fast for the whole month.
3. It is recommended for one to stay up the night in worship, i.e. tonight, and fast the next day.

Assalamu alaykum I am fasting now and also I fasted yesterday and insha Allah I am going to fast tomorrow because based on hadith it is better if we fast on 14,15 and 16 of Sya'ban or July,3,4 and 5 which is called Nisfu Sya'ban For these fastings we should have niyat or intention and then fasting during those days since fajr up to sunset or maghrib time without foods and drinks We will have rewards from Allah

Inshaallah, i've been fasting mondays and thursdays in preparation for the upcoming Ramadan! It's going to be a bit harder this year - the hours will be longer and the weather hotter!
