Who agrees that Pride's best were equal with UFC but their middle their fighters were far inferior?

Prides Champions and Contenders were usually on par with UFC but everybody else just sucked. For every Shogun and Cro Cop, there were ten Carlos Newtons or Sokojdous. This is why I think UFC was better. To put in perspective how terrible the Pride average fighters were, their fighting styles would be Dragon Ball Z, Professional Wrestling, Sumo, Ninja, or Samurai. I'm not kidding either you can look up just how strange Pride was

Pride was well above the UFC until the end. All their fighters were good but remember they were in Pride for awhile before their UFC time. It was almost a decade ago now. They are all aging now. Shogun and Rampage in their primes in Pride would have destroyed Jon Jones.

Were Fedor Emelianenko, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, Antônio Rogério Nogueira, Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, Takanori Gomi, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović, Mark Coleman, Josh Barnett, Ken Shamrock, Mark Hunt, Shogun Rua, Rampage Jackson, Kazushi Sakuraba, Ricardo Arona, Royce Gracie, Alistair Overeem, Anderson Silva, Hidehiko Yoshida, Akihiro Gono, Murilo Bustamante, Carlos Newton, Gegard Mousasi, Jens Pulver, Shinya Aoki etc bad fighters? HELL NO!

At the time it was best because it had the better fighters than the UFC and better rules. Also the rules were different enough to have an impact. The Octagon and points for Octagon control allow the likes of Jones and Condit to win. In Pride there was nowhere to go and they would be KNOCKED out.

The UFC was actually quite boring and predictable (still is today despite being the only real show around) compared to Pride.

Edit: And there are tons of crappy fighters in the UFC compared to the champs too.

Source(s): UFC fanboys.....uh! I love the UFC but Pride was better
