The volume on my Toshiba laptop stopped working suddenly..?
The internal speaker on the laptop stopped working this morning, it was fine yesterday. I've tried restarting and trying out youtube and other video sites on both my laptop account and the guest, and it doesn't work. When I click on the volume box to adjust it and make sure nothing is muted,the entire box is black, and when I right click on it and go to volume mixer it says "No audio device is installed." Is there any way I can fix this? My volume has done similar things before,but I've never gotten the black box or no audio installed. It usually goes back to normal in a few days, but is there anyway I can stop this from happening or at least fix it when it does?

it could be hardware related like the sound chip may be broken -it doesnt happen allot but it does happen- in which case you need professional assistance, take it to a computer shop. or software related try reinstalling the sound driver. oooo i forgot do the speakers still work or is it just the earbuds. try other earbuds.
