Health Care for dummies?

Imagine there's a school bus full of people that you know, You're in it, heading to a four or five star restaurant. 40 people including yourself. Dinner is over and the bill comes, only five of you have any money at all. The other 35 have poor credit, no charge cards and feel that YOU and the four others have an obligation to pay their way. How many times would you allow this evening to be repeated? And would you reelect the bus driver?

Update:

Gomanyes: Very good point! However, I (and millions of others) would have preferred to drive the bus to the Burger King drive through and not trick me into the 4 or 5 star, especially if I'm paying 1/5 of the bill. Even better how about asking me before the bus takes off (up or down vote) or would that have resulted in a "NO"? If so then it's back door legislation.

I'd pay for me and then bounce. Not obligated to pay for anyone else. I am not their mommy!

Let's continue this story a little.

Say these people get kicked out and have to live on the streets because they have no money for food. Because they can't afford to eat, they join gangs and make a living as criminals, which is the only way they can get money to put food on the table. The crime rate in your community goes up. Eventually the police catch them and put them in jail. Who pays for them to stay behind bars? The taxpayers.

Health care works the same way. If everyone doesn't have decent health care, it causes problems for society, and eventually, the taxpayers pay for it one way or another.

You don't feed wild animals because they get dependent on you and you're stuck feeding them.

    Let's apply the same principle...

To the poster below me: I'm probably not going to be on a bus with a bunch of criminals. At that point, I'd invest in a car.

I would pay for my own dinner then call a cab and leave the rest of the moochers there to wash dishes
