Why do black people like to say that other black people "Act white"?

so whats wrong with wanting to be educated and successful? And its all no secret that there are more successful whites in america than any other race, and it has nothing to do with racism, its just a fact whether you like it or not. And I think more young black men should have this guys same outlook and hopes for their future in wanting to get out of the ghetto and make something of themselves no matter what race you are. ghetto lifestyle are self-destructive thats why his black friends say he acts white because they dont want him to be successful, they want to keep him down like they act they are, and its bad business and its called self inflicted opression. Im black and it just pisses me off to see young black men who would rather just hang out in the hood all their lives and ***** piss and moan about how bad they got it, instead of gettin the hell up and doing something about it, like getting an education and a good job. Maybe this young man is trying to break the cycle for his generation so that maybe just maybe his children will do the same. You guys always gotta bring race into it, and you are the ones who do the most damage.

besides...whos gonna hire a neurosurgeon who talks like a gang member.......get real people. White people educate themselves and get good jobs and what the hell is wrong with that? So youre gonna blame white folks because you have no desire for a better life because they are educated and youre not, its not their fault you teach your children the way you do, its your fault and no one elses. Theres not one generation left on this earth that has had anything to do with slavery, and if your ancestors past was so bad as a black people, then why in the hell are u you still livin in it

I'm sick of people telling me I act white as well. The way I see it, I'm an individual and the color of my skin shouldn't define what I like and what I dislike. If you like metal, keep listening to it. I actually appreciate some of Rise Against lyrics and I'm black.

It's funny because I've been called that many times before as well, a couple of my white friends say the same thing and I just don't understand it!

Maybe they just think that we all should 'act' a certain way, talk a certain way, etc.

People have a tendency to put others down for many reasons one being jealous of what you are wanting to do or become etc.. Don't worry about others you do you and tell them to do them.
