i think that you guys are damn good friends......it happens generally when a girl and a guy are close ( enjoy so much in each other presence ) and had never thought about other things coming up.....like the kissing n all with other guy.
i would say that be the same friend to her as you are now..........don't try to do anything that may freak her out.after some days you will fully come to know why exactly u felt like that.
just be the same and see the other girls enjoy being with her ........try dating other girls .......your heart will surely tell you what the he wants......after all that.

I'd tell her. If you've been "best buds" for a long time, she may have never considered you as an option as far as "dating" goes. Let her know how you feel, and see how it goes.
