What does time travel in a dream mean?

I've been reading around, haven't really gotten any great explanations to what this means yet so I am asking, perhaps just sharing and seeing what comes up. I had a very lengthy dream about me in the present traveling back in time, Less Back to the Future and more lika that movie Time Cop with Jean Claude Van Damme (not joking, keep reading..lol) I saw myself when I was 6, it was actually my 6th birthday party and immediately I started warning myself of things to come in the future and trying to get myself to understand so that I could change it..but, c'mon..it's a 6 year-old.

It was very real, I actually cannot stop thinking about it. I almost felt like if I was successful, I would wake up and things would be different foreal. LOL! I was also trying to convince my mom and my sister that it was me from the future and they should listen to everything that I was telling them like investing in stocks, etc..I'm sorry, I have very vivid dreams like this though. hahahaha. Finally, when they realized I was telling the truth, I woke up and that's the end of that. Somebody please help me figure this one out.
