2005 Dodge Durango AC blockage ?

The A/C lines on most vehicles are silver in color (or aluminum colored). The part im guessing you are referring to is the filter dryer which filters the freon of contaminants. Look for the silver A/C lines and look for the high and low pressure gauge ports. They usually have red and blue caps on them. The filter dryer is the big canister located before those ports. However it is a very costly job to replace it. Make sure your condenser isn't clogged or you are not just out of freon. Check your compressor too. Make sure it kicks on.

"Apparently Blocked?!" So I don't have a clue how you decided to start with a blockage idea. You need to start by hooking up the AC pressure gauges and watch the pressures. If the low side has high pressure or the low side stays a vacuum, the restriction is in the expansion valve. You're lucky, it's in the engine compartment, not under the dash. You need to replace the expansion valve (if that's really the problem) ans then pull a vacuum on the system for at least 15 minutes, check for leaks, and then charge the system with the correct amount of 134a. Does your system have a front and rear evaporator? For all we know at this point is you're messing with your AC and we have not got a clue if the 134a is low or what's going on. You're just stuck on some blockage. I'll wager before you're done that an AC certified mechanic could have fixed this cheaper and right away!
