Why can they only debulk sometimes and not get it all in 1 surgery?

Update:

before surgery he said he was hopeful to get it all but after he said he couldnt because of how extensive. does that mean it would take too long or did it not show like that on a scan or what?

It is usually because they will never be able to get it all.

Occasionally you will 2 surgeries done for bladder cancer when there is a very large tumor(s) and this is because it will take too long to do it in 1 surgery.
