How do I apologize to my friend?

Be honest. Let him know how it is affecting you, and that you feel bad about what you did. People respond well to vulnerability, so open up and you will be surprised how well he will respond.

Apologize and Let him know that you were just having an of day. Perhaps telling him that you were so nervous about meeting him that you forgot your manners may help. Ask if there is any way to make it up to him. Sometimes though, people go with their first impression and do not want to go there again. Good luck.

Anyways, why were you rude to him? Explain it to him. If it was really for no apparent reason (which, I happen to do sometimes haha), then tell him you were just in a bad mood. Let him know that you understand why he got mad, and apologize for being rude. Tell him you appreciate your friendship and that you'll be a better friend.

There are three elements to a proper apology:

1) Let the person know how you feel about the incident (You are sorry)

2) Let the person know you can know what it feels to be in his/her shoes right now (You know what it feels like)

3) Offer to make amends. (Ask, what can I do to right the wrong and do it)

Explain to him what you just wrote here, maybe throw in the 'i had a bad day' excuse, and then just say sorry.

Just apologize him in simple words.
