Should I sell my Wii and get a PS3?
Hi, I have a Nintendo Wii that I've had for about 4 years, this thing has helped me out and been so useful so it's hard to just sell it. It has 2 remotes a wireless nun-chuck, 2 wheels, DJ hero 1 and 2, all necessary cords and a classic controller pro. But I recently have received a PS VITA and I've been told that having a VITA and a PS3 is a great combination of gaming systems. I love my Wii and have had it for years, but I would love to get a new PS3. Thanks for your advice!

As far I can tell, here are the advantages/disadvantages to both systems
Wii
+Very Good Exclusives such as:
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
The Last Story
Monster Hunter Tri
Sonic Colors
Kirby Epic Yarn
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
and many more...
+Very Good Selection in Virtual Console at fair prices
+older models are completely backwards compatible with all Nintendo Gamecube Games, and most Nintendo Gamecube accessories.
-Wiiware severely lacking good titles (though there are a few gems in the rough)
-Hardware and applications are the worst out of the three
-Alot of shovelware titles
-lacking decent online play
-memory capacity issues
Ps3
+This system provides the best HD Quality Graphics.
+Playstation Plus
+Older Models have Ps2 backwards comp, while all models have ps1 backwards comp
+fairly good Online Store
+only system to also double as blue ray player
*can purchase movies and tv show episodes.
+easiest system to upgrade storage space on, possibly cheapest too.
-Weaker Exclusives (subjective opinion) Some of the better ones are,
Journey
Little Big Planet 1 and 2
God of War 3
Twisted Metal
Demon Souls
-Sixaxis Motion Control is awful
Advantages to both
+completely free online play
+decent motion control peripherals (the PS Move, while technically better, doesn't have nearly as many quality titles to use it with.
That's about all I can think about...
While I personally prefer the Wii, I competently understand why people would want a Ps3.

You've been making a bad decision for 4 years. Sell the Wii and buy PS3/ vita. It's a excellent combination. And remote play is awesome

You sound like you're moving on with the passing fads. I love my Nintendo Wii and would never sell it. But hey, to each his own.
What games do you have? I wouldn't mind buying some of your games from you. I am an avid Nintendo Fanboy/Wii player? I will pay you for your games!
Email me @ adderleywarren@yahoo.com and lets make a deal.

If you love your Wii, and use it a lot, do not get rid of it.
If you're tired of your Wii, which does not seem to be the case, then go ahead and trade in.
Note that when trading in, you are almost guaranteed to get the short end of the deal. You are already happy with your Wii. Don't change your setup if it is already good, imo. Sell your Wii when you hate it/are tired of it.

If you have someone(friend, relative, etc.) who can let you borrow it or let you use it try it out before you get rid of it. You might not have as much fun with it as you think you will and you might end up unhappy. Give it a spin first before you commit to selling it and purchasing a ps3.
