My omanyte and tentacool had an egg?
im playing pokemon fire red and i put my omanyte and my tentacool in the daycare on four island. i waited a bit and they had an egg! this really confused me. i hatched the egg and it was a tentacool. so im confused. how does an omanyte and tentacool have an egg together? is this a glitch?

Nope it's not a glitch. Most pokemon belongs to one or more egg groups, if pokemon within the same egg group are put into the daycare together then they will make a baby ^-^ Tentacool is in egg group Water 3 and Omanyte is in the egg groups Water 3 and Water 1, this means they will make an egg of the females species (Since your tentacool is female the baby will be a tentacool.)

No, it's perfectly normal. Tentacool and Omanyte are in the same egg group, Water 3. As long as one is a Female and one is a Male, they should make an egg eventually.
