Why do people dislike the name Geraldine?

Its not that I don't like it. Its just that in Ireland loads of old women are called it, and its just over used.

I don't see anything wrong with the name Geraldine! It's great to have a cool quirky name that no one else you know would probably have :) My name is Jessica, and I hate the fact that there are so many of us around, consider yourself lucky ;)

Most Geraldines are older (mature). At least it's not some over-popular or made-up name.

Geraldine can also be shortened to Geri or Dina to give it a younger vibe..

I have always thought that Geraldine is a very pretty name.

How is pronounced? Jer-all-deen? Gur-all-deen? Or is it dine as in dinosaur? Or is the g silent?

Whatever it is, I like your name. It's creative and unique. I think it's very cool that your named after a church, it's just like being named after a a person in the bible. Hold your head up high :) your name is beautiful!

It's too long and trashy. Long name are usually classy but this is just a long mess.

It's not a bad name, it's just not my taste though. I personally think it's too 'antique' for my liking.
