Believe it or not, this is not a "problem".

It is a deliberate change made by Yahoo - a really, really DUMB change made by Yahoo. There is a 11+ page tread of complaints and negative feedback in the Yahoo Finance discussion area, so you are hardly alone in thinking this was a stupid move by Yahoo.

For now - alpha order on the homepage is all you can do....with all indicies at the bottom. I want my stocks in the order I select, but Yahoo seems to think they know better than me what I want....so bye-bye Yahoo, off to Bloomberg, Google, or someone else.....

Did someone say that if I move use Google to view my portfolio I won't be forced to accept an alphabetical sort order? I've used Yahoo as my home page for 10+ years (yes 10+ when they first came out as a search engine). If this forced march is my reward for loyalty, I'm leaving!

I would like to see an acknowledgement from Yahoo that this is a problem, the users want their portfolios in the order they set up. Fix it!
