Which Scandinavian country is the best to move to?
Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, and Denmark. Out of these countries which has the best economy? Best benefits for their citizens? Is most open minded, and has lots of hiking and other outdoor activities? Thanks in advance

If you're thinking about moving, the answer is quite clearly Norway. As much as I love Iceland, Norway is both the wealthiest and the easiest for someone from outside the Schengen Area and EU/EFTA to move into (it's non-EU), and (like Iceland :) ) is famous for being "outdoorsy". Sweden is EU (harder to get into) and while with a somewhat "outdoorsy" reputation, not as much as Norway. Denmark (also EU is flat and sandy and more population dense, seen as a place to go to beaches or party. Finland is EU and not as wealthy as Denmark or Sweden (they also speak a totally different language, while all the other countries you listed speak similar languages). Iceland is EFTA but not EU (but as far as moving there goes, it makes no difference) and was super-wealthy but is sort of middle-of-the-pack now after the crash.
All are high benefit (and correspondingly high tax, of course) and open-minded countries. But I'd have to put Iceland at the top of the pack. Why? Well, there's something about having a lesbian prime minister who signed into law a same-sex marriage bill that passed without any votes in opposition, a bit over a month before the largest annual festival in the country, Reykjavík's LGBT pride fest, which is attended by 1/3rd of the country, and whose drag competition last year was held in Iceland's equivalent of Madison Square Garden (Harpa). ;)
FYI, concerning winter: it's not so much a north/south thing in the Nordic countries as it is a "how exposed you are to the ocean" thing. The ocean is a great moderator of temperatures. Iceland's winters are milder than New York City's. Even Svalbard, the island chain that contains the furthest north "real" cities on Earth, deep inside the Arctic circle and further north than most Antarctic bases are south, has similar winter temperatures to Minneapolis.

Try and stay as far South as possible because winter is really tough over there. You can always take a train or bus for hiking and other activities.
As a former airline employee, I would visit a large airport near where you live and talk to a flight crew sitting around the gate area for flights going to the Scandinavian area. They can give you an idea of how things are. Maybe go out to the airport 3 or 4 times and plan to spend at least 4 or 5 hours for your survey (per trip).

Norway
Norway has a low crime rate.
Norwegians enjoy the second highest GDP per-capita (after Luxembourg) and fourth highest GDP (PPP) per-capita in the world. Today, Norway ranks as the second wealthiest country in the world in monetary value, with the largest capital reserve per capita of any nation.
Norway has endless opportunties for hiking in its wide wilderness, from easy walks in Oslo's city forest to alpine climbing in Jotunheimen or Troms. A number of areas are protected as national parks, but most the country is equally attractive and available to the public.

If you love metal then Norway.
But there are a lot of people like Breivik there, because they are sick of the immigrants.
