Commuting 35 miles a day, 250cc Motorcycle enough?

i commute about 35-40 miles a day to and from work. most of it is highway, most of it is 55 mph zone with a chunk of the trip approx 5-10 miles(45mph zones). i ride friday to monday, so 2 of the days their are a good amount of cars and trucks on the highway, but nothing that i cant get around.

currently im using my father's Kawasaki Vulcan 750cc, and i have no problem riding threw everything on this bike but then again its 750cc and has some weigh to it.

what im asking is do you think i can get away with buying a 250cc motorcycle, their are some tractor trailers on the road every now, or should i get something bigger in the range of 500cc to 750cc

i was thinking about a these bikes

Kawasaki Ninja 250cc or Hyusong GT250

Suzuki GS500f

SuzukiSv650s or Hyusong GT650

any random yamaha or honda or kawasaki in the 600cc(example: CBR-600, GSX-600...ect ect)

i REALLY want a SV650s but i dont have the money ATM.

btw im 6'1, 175-180 lbs(i dont put on weight like a normal person, i eat what ever i want and i hardly ever gain a pound, so im not worried about outgrowing the bike)

A 250 is not ideal for 55 mph. It will go that fast but the suspension isn't designed for it, so its all over the highway, not comfortable or safe. The GS500 is better. The SV 650 is the best of the ones you list.

Maybe you could look at a bigger cruiser, like a 500 or 650. Your dad's Vulcan is ideal. 750cc is a good size for a cruiser. Or a Honda Shadow or Yamaha Star.

Hyosung I wouldn't even look at. The Japanese mfgrs just give you a better deal for the money. Better made, more reliable, longer lasting.

The CBR and GSX-R are dedicated single-purpose sportbikes, not easy to ride, not comfortable.

I would say forget the 250s. You are already riding a 750cc and haven't died yet.

The SV650 and the GT650 actually have the same engine. Both good bikes.

Another one to consider is the GSX650F. Very nice looking bike.

Kawasaki Ninja 250cc or Hoysung GT250.. BOTH IDEAL.

Hoysung GT650 also good because there cheap to buy...

600cc sports bikes... not a good choice.

SV650 is similar to the hoysung but has more power...& cost more..
