Im scared of another dog biting mine?
I dont take my dog on regular walks simply because im scared another dog will bite him or even kill him (since hes so small). When i do walk him if i see another dog i cross to the other side of the road, or pick him up so they cant touch him. Ive seen on the news stories of little dogs being killed by stray big dogs, and if that happens to him ill never forgive myself. In the past i have had a run in with bigger dogs with my old dog and they tried to attack him, i guess thats why im scared, hes shy of people but runs at dogs. HeLp i want to be able to walk him without the fear of him being attacked!

If he runs at dogs he's likely to run at the wrong dog and cause it to object to his rude behaviour.
He's unsocialised and will remain so for life unless you take some action. Take him to obedience classes where not only will he meet other dogs but will be socialised with people an you'll learn how to train him.

dogs need walking every day even if they are small dogs with big yards they still need walking, however your fear will attract the kind of dogs that will attack, if youre interested you can go to my facebook page like it and inbox me and i can send you some advice on dog behavior so that you can judge how a dog is going to react to you before it even approaches, i can also give advice on how to safly stop a dog attack once it has started and am willing to help any other dog questions you have.
