I just put one of my dogs to sleep. Now my other dog is depressed and won't eat.?

Aww :( First of all, I am sorry to hear of having to put one of your dog's down.

That is sad about your other dog. I guess they need time to grieve as well. I'm sure it will just take him a little time....if it was my dog, I would snuggle him, pay extra attention to him, play with him, take him for a nice walk. I'm not sure, but I think just anything that is comforting and makes him feel loved, since he is sad too :( I'm sure after some extra love from his mommy....he will get his appetite back :) Good luck to you and your pooch :)

Give the dog a few days as this isn't that unusual.

Try and jolly her along and get out and about more than usual just to take her mind off of it.

It's surprising how often this can happen.

If you have the money for another one, buy one. Your dog that is alive is sad that their by themselves and probably needs a companion. Sorry to hear about the one that was put down.

Maybe wait a few days or maybe if you like having more than 1 dog, get another one.
