Could anybody tell me a good hard drive?
I have an early 2011 macbook pro, and I want to get a windows partition but I dont have enough room on my current hard drive. Is there a external hard drive that could be used (to play games)? Or would it be better to get an internal hard drive? If so can I get one for my mac and would it be possible to hack my current hard drive for use as an external one?

oaky lets see here
external drive that could be used to play games? yes it will work just fine, may be slightly slower to load then from the internal drive (idk what kind of usb or firewire speeds you got on that mac so) but other then that it will work for 99% of the games (there are some that only wants to be on the C drive)
you could get a bigger internal drive, far as i can see its a normal 2.5" SATA drive
idk if you got the 13 or 15" one but on this site you can see how to do it yourself and harddrives they recommend

seems to be mostly western digital drives and seagate drives.
and yes you can use the old internal harddrive as a external one, all you need is a sata -> usb converter(or firewire if you now got that) which also comes in little cases for the harddrive to look as a external one too
