3 part Poll: Do you think that Yahoo will block the photo avatars because of the porn?
Since abusers have taken advantage of the ability to upload porn and animated porn, do you see more of it?
Do you think it is a shame that a few "bad apples" always ruin it for the rest of us?
@ protexya- The proper way to report them is via the "report abuse" button on the Pulse/profile page.
Unfortunately, this is not a fast method, and they don't remove the ALL images from Yahoo!Answers.
So we have to also report the posts at Y!A. Again, a slow process, but emailing the Y!A Team (y_answrs_team@yahoo.com) sometimes works too.. but is slow. I've also had faster luck by contacting the users at the Y!A Suggestion board chatzy room. http://us4.chatzy.com/956788853016
I've seen more and more of the inappropriate porn animations.

Well i must admit i have seen some pretty bad stuff around lately, certainly it has increased since i started in answers. I would probably leave answers if they took my avatar away, but to be honest i wouldn't know what to do if i came across one, like i know how to report a question or an answer but i don't report avatars when i see em cause i don't know how.

Quite possibly - they've made WORSE moves.

Not as much as I used to, in fact - I rarely spot it. But consider it is summer time, when the little ones are at play much more of the time.

But, of course.
What needs to be done is for Y! Inc. to enforce federal law - the electronic transmission of pornographic images where it it KNOWN that minors may be present - is a FELONY offense, and may result in the offender being jailed, fined AND forced to register as a sex offender for up to 5 years.
Y!Inc. has the means but not the desire to enforce the law.

1. I think they're going to have to go back to the canned avatars, like mine.
2. I've never seen it at all - apparently, they don't think my section is particularly amusing.
3. Of course it's always a shame when a few bad apples spoil it. The scarey part is, odds are they're minors.

There's always been porn pics on here, I can't say I've noticed an increase myself.
I doubt they'll ever do anything about it
