Types of iPhone help?!?

Then getting one may not be a smart idea.

There are currently 3 iPhones available: the 3GS, 4 and 4s each next one a development of what came before. The 3GS is the oldest but in the US it's only available with AT&T. Still it's either free or about $1. The next is the 4, which is available (at least with Verizon and AT&T). An iPhone 4 that works with GSM carriers like AT&T won't work on CDMA carriers like Verizon, and vica versa. The 4 uses newer technology than the 3GS. The 4s was introduced last fall - it's main chip is dual core (pretty sure the 4 used a single core). On Verizon, the 4 is only available in 8GB (it had been available in 16 and 32 GB before the 4s appeared). There have been tons of rumors of a new iPhone coming out in October - I've no plans to get a new phone before then (okay, maybe some plans).

You can skype on iPod 3, so I'd be skeptical if you couldn't do that on an iPhone 4 at least. You can make international calls on any phone.

On an iPhone, you can't

Expand memory (like you can on basic phones using a microSD card).

Copy music from it to your computer (iTunes purchases can be downloaded to your computer from the iTunes store; in practice you can probably hack your iPod so that you can copy from it; Jailbreaking might also help)

Change the battery - as you can on some Androids and all basic phones.

Iphones are actually pretty great phones. Ill tell you this DONT switch to an Android i never personally had any but i know that they freeze up a lot. But any way there is the iphone3, Iphone3G, iphone4, and the iphone 4s. The iphone 3 and 3Gs are the older versions.The iphone3 is slow pretty good but works slower. The iphone3Gs runs faster then the iphone3 thats all. The iphone4 as we know runs way faster then the iphone3 and 3Gs. The iphone4 has way more features, the graphics are amazing, the camera is better, its shaped differently then the iphone3 and 3Gs, it comes with a news stand for you to buy books and e.t,c. You can read about it on www.apple.com, and the iphone4s i really don't see a difference just that it has Siri which is a little talking "women" that follows your commands when you talk to the phone. But you can do the same thing with the iphone4. The only thing is it doesn't have as much features as the iphone4s. Yes of course you can Skype on a iphone lol yes its pretty good as long as your connection is good. You cant skype on the iphone3 and 3Gs bc it does not have a front camera (forgot about that) the iphone 4 and 4s are the only ones you can use Sykpe with if i'm not correct. Yes you can make international calls just get the plans for it
