is me or my friend right?

i said that flammable and inflammable mean the same thing but he says they mean different things who is right?

    They mean different things. Flammable can catch on fire. Inflammable can't.

    They both man the same. Back in the day people used inflamable but some people thought it meant not flamable so they began using flamable tonot confuse ppl but both mean combustible
