Why is it so hard for liberals to answer a simple question?

I asked the left-wingers on this board:

"In the absence of a valid photo I.D., how would YOU maintain voter integrity in the polling place?"

All I'm asking is for a solution to a problem to ensure that elections are carried out fairly and honestly. Instead, the left continues to moan about why the system of utilizing a photo I.D. won't work, supposedly, but NEVER provides a solution.

Why is it so hard for liberals to just answer a question?

Update:

Easter:

What about when they reach the polling place. How do they prove that they are properly registered? We have lots of deceased people registered on the books still... How do we keep THEM from voting?

Ninja,

Thanks for once again being unable to answer my question. Treat it as a hypothetical if you have to, since you're so intent on denial. Just answer my question.

Update 2:

Roger,

Only a liberal sees more government as the solution to any given problem. If that's what you think is required, then come out and say so. What I believe is necessary is simply a change in PROCEDURE to ensure that elections are carried out fairly and honestly. You can't say there is not a problem when you have no way in place to IDENTIFY said problem!

Update 3:

Ninja:

Lack of proof does not equal proof of lack That is, the lack of proof regarding a given problem does NOT mean said problem exist. It only means there is NO system in place to prevent OR track that problem.

For the final time, please answer my question. If you must, treat it as a hypothetical.

Update 4:

Letfreedomring,

I did not lie. I never claimed to ask a simple yes or no question. I asked for liberals to be creative and come up with a solution to a problem. Even if it is only a problem of PERCEPTION, it is still a problem that in our current culture mars the voting process.

Your NAME is not sufficient. My father's name, I happen to know for a fact, is still registered. He died eight years ago. Someone could EASILY obtain his personal information and utilize that in the polling place. How do you intend to prevent that person from using my dead father's information and voting on his behalf?

Update 5:

Ninja,

That's a straw man, and you know it. Problem or not, the perception of the voting process as being a fair and honest process is INCREDIBLY important to the continued viability of the process. If there is not a problem, liberals should have no problem implementing a procedure to ensure that this continues to be the case. If there IS a problem, we need to solve it. It's as simple as that.

The perception of aliens being real or not does NOT have the same impact on the well-being of our nation as a whole, nor does it pertain to the viability of anyone's rights or lack thereof.

Thankyou, however, for proving yourself unable to answer a basic question. I won't ask again, since you're not interested.

Update 6:

Roger.

If you read the things I write, you can see that it is a MULTI-TIERED problem.

-Illegal aliens

-Unregistered voters commiting ID theft

-the dead voting

-the very PERCEPTION, real or imagined of said fraud.

Clearing the rolls of deceased people is part of the solution. You have one step of a possible solution. Now why don't you address the rest of the problems? Answering questions as I've phrased them is not hard to do. I'm simply asking for a little comprehensive thought, and creativity on your part.

If you HAVE to treat the question as a hypothetical, do so. I don't care, in this instance, whether the "problem is real" or not. I'm asking a question. I'm asking you and yours to answer it. That's it.

Don't worry, the chip is here. And actually it will be the new RFID tattoo anyways. Already in use on cattle.

This is the method they are using to implement this. But they have to make it look like a 'BIGGGGG Prolem' 1st. That is why nobody is kicking illegal immigrants out of this country. This is exactly the way both liberals AND republicans in our government want it. You fail to see they are simply two means to one end.

Any state issued ID has and RFID chip in it. They act like 'fake' ID's are a problem... when all they have to do is scan the card. This is on purpose.... and all the people of our government are in on it.

You want voter integrity...... Scan peoples ID's. It's actually that simple. If they have a fake ID, I don't care what color they are, arrest them! It is illegal to have a fake ID.

    You tell me

I've voted in ten presidential elections and I was required to show photo ID in only one of them-2008 -

How did the Republic survive such a lapse in judgment on the part of the powers that be ?

    Edit

    Firestorm

    Let's get empirical about this

Pretend that you're the illegal alien that you hate

On election day you show up at a crowded polling place with your brown skin , your working man's clothes , your 25 words of English vocabulary ...and no ID

There is a 45 minute wait to vote

How long are you going to stick around the polling place waitiing to vote ?

But your lying, you didn't just ask them a simple question with a simple yes or no question.

You asked.. how would YOU maintain voter integrity in the polling place?

That's like asking how you would keep illegals out of America, it takes a plan and new ideas.

It would be easy if America was a different kind of country, you could force people to do things. Maybe we could start chipping people now at birth or print the voters. I am sure no matter what you do some one is going to be upset.

I have a voter card and when I get there they have my name because I am registered. I don't need an ID, why should others?

Dr. Phil had to learn what many of us have already discovered; that liberals are incapable of answering direct questions. Everyone should have a Voters ID Card, Basic Requirements,

    1. 1.Must be at least 18 years of age.

    2. 2.Must already be registered to vote in your State or be applying to register to vote as part of the application for an ID card.

    3. 3.Do not have any other form of identification that is acceptable under O.C.G.A. 21-2-417 for identification at the polls in order to vote.

    Documents Required.

1.Documentation showing your identity, residential address, full social security number, and U.S. citizenship or proof of lawful presence in the United States. Click here for more information.

2.Furnish the original Certificate of Eligibility (DDS-579) obtained from DDS

3.All documents must be in English. See the Translator List to locate an approved document translation company.

Because you're promoting a solution seeking a problem to solve. I thought right wingers were supposed to about less government? Now you guys want us to pay a fee and then produce our papers to vote.

Edit - how many people show up to vote to find out that someone else has already gone in and used their name to vote? If that were a problem, then I could see screwing with elections to rid ourselves of it. But that problem does not exist. Why do we need more laws to address problems that aren't real? I thought I made it clear that I didn't favor more government - you're the one demanding everyone get a government approved ID - or don't vote. It wasn't me.

Lol - you have a problem with the state not clearing the voter rolls of deceased people and your solution is restrict the ability for live people to vote? You're flailing about for a problem, but you're failing. The only issue is politics.

I would demand proof when they register to vote.

Edit: When they reach the polling place, their voter ID card would be good enough since I don't think people are in the habit of voting illegally. In Washington and Oregon they all vote by mail and it goes off without a hitch.

2nd Edit: IF the picture IDs were issued for free (like they are in Indiana, where their voter ID law was upheld) I would have no problem with it. If IDs are not free, then I think (and the SCOTUS has already ruled) that it's an indirect, and thus illegal, form of poll tax. That is my only objection to voter ID laws.

don't they send out voter registration cards for a reason? I registered when I got my ID, the same documents used to get my ID got me registered.

how about removing the deceased from registration instead of removing eligible voters? the dead are less likely to complain about it.

Your first mistake is expecting anyone on Y!A to think logically and provide a solution. This place is full of trolls.

Why do you keep beating this topic into the ground? The answer is that there is no answer, as voter fraud isn't a big problem like conservatives say.

Where is your proof that voter fraud is a problem? That's what I thought.

If there is no proof, then we shouldn't implement it!?!?!? That's like saying we should fund more for military because aliens could be real and attack us, although there is no "proof"
