I have to agree with some of the other posters. If you are thinking of say, Santa's elves you tend to think of very short creatures - 2 or 3 feet tall. However if you want to go more modern, Orlando Bloom who played Legolas the elf on the Lord of the rings trilogy is 5.11 The other elves in the movies were also man sized as well.

Santa Elf, High Elf, Dark Elf, Night Elf, Blood Elf, there are so many ideas for elves it's hard to really figure out which one you refer to and answer your question properly. Most elves however, are about our size, and slender.
