Is this quote a hyperbole?
Is the quote "we sweated blood" a hyperbole? Because it "over-exaggerates the basic crux of a statement" (literary-devices.com definition of hyperbole). I'm pretty certain it is, I just want to make sure.
The phrase is from "Into thin air" by Jon Krakauer. I agree it is kind of awkward haha

It does sound a bit tricky, because it's not an extreme exaggeration, i guess?
But if you think about you, people don't ACTUALLY sweat blood, so i would definitely say that it's a hyperbole :)

I guess so, but the phrase you said is a bit awkward. "I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this project." would be a hyperbole.
