I'm a freshman in college and I'm moving out of my dorm at the end of the semester in December. I'm trying to figure out of the best way to move all of my stuff from where I go to school (Colorado) back to Illinois.

I'm considering three options:

1) Having my dad drive out here in December and picking me up and then driving back. Although this is the simplest option, it's quite expensive what with eating out all the time, hotels, and gas money. It's about a 16 hour road trip one way and quite miserable too. Since it's December he's wary about driving in all the snow that we're bound to get.

2) Packing up most of my belongings and shipping them, then bringing just a couple of suitcases/carry ons with me on the plane home. This is also a really expensive option because of the cost for shipping and of course the plane ticket.

3) Storing my belongings in a storing facility for the winter and flying home. Then in the summer we would go on a road trip to pick everything up. This option is what my sister suggested but I feel like it's twice as expensive, plus I won't have a lot of my stuff until I'm able to get it all in the summer...

What do you guys think would be the best option?

Especially plants that are at least 1.5 meters (5 ft)

I want to use this as an example of irony for my school assignment, but it uses the word "ironically" in it and I don't know if that's proper or not. Is the quote "we sweated blood" a hyperbole? Because it "over-exaggerates the basic crux of a statement" (literary-devices.com definition of hyperbole). I'm pretty certain it is, I just want to make sure.

I want to send a fan letter (physical kind of letter not digital) to a band called One Direction but they are currently on tour. They probably won't get back to London for a while. Should I send the fan letter to London now so they can see it when they get back or wait until they are actually back first before I send it?

I was thinking night life but that's a little expensive. It's currently around $40 and I don't want to spend all my money just on that.

I'm writing a Harry Potter fanfiction, and I can't decide what house to put my character in! Should she be in Gryffendor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw? What house would you like to read about most?

I'm a writer. I love writing, I really do. When I get a great idea for a story, I can't wait to put it on paper and get it out there. But lately, I feel like I'm having a tough time getting the stories from my head to the paper. It feels like I don't know where to begin. Any other writers ever have this problem? If so, how do you fix it? I don't know if this is a writers block, this has been happening for a couple months now.... If it's a writers block, then it's sure a long one.

I'm looking for some good anime movies on Netflix for the instant queue on the computer. Unfortuantely, I looked up my favorite studio ghibli films on there and couldn't find any :( Soo....does anyone have any other recomendations? Thanks!

I heard about that Rugrats "real story" that pertained to the fact that all of the babies (Tommy, Chucky, Phil and Lil) were all apart of Angelica's imagination because all the babies died. Tommy was a stillborn, which was why Stu spent all his time making toys for his unborn son. Chucky died along with his mother, which was why his dad was a nervous wreck. The DeVilles aborted their baby and Angelica couldn't decide whether it be a boy or a girl (thus creating Phil and Lil). If you didn't hear about this "real story" I suggest looking it up because it's actually really interesting.

But my question is, is any of this true? Does anyone have any evidence for it being true??

When my computer tries to boot up, the Windows XP loading screen comes up for a second and then disappears and goes back to the screen with all the options such as "safe mode" "start windows normally" etc. Help! This came on suddenly. I didn't install any new software or anything at all... I need to access that computer because all of my summer reading homework is on there :( I was too stupid to save it to a flashdrive. Please please please help me! We tried all the safe mode stuff and that didn't seem to work either. We checked the chords and made sure everything was plugged in and everything. I don't know why this is happening D:

I'm writing a novel and I wanted to keep things consistent. Should I use "Mom" or "My mom" when writing from my main character's point of view? Which one sounds better to you?

An example of "Mom" is:

Mom sighed and gave me a small smile. “We’ll try to adjust the best we can.”

I nodded my head in acknowledgement.

“I don’t want to be here either,” She continued, “But we have to try. The way I acted about this whole thing was…immature, to say the least. But now that we’re here, I see that it won’t be so bad. Promise me you’ll try to like it here?”

“How can I try to like something? I either do or I don’t.”

Mom rolled her eyes at me.
