Looking for a book series as good as Harry Potter?

I'm looking for a good book series that is deep and engaging like the Harry Potter series. I'm sick of those paranormal romance book series, I want a series with an actual plot!

Here are the series I've read and really, really enjoyed:

Harry Potter

The Hunger Games

Warriors

Pendragon

Update:

Thanks for your suggestions so far guys! I remember I had to read the first book of Uglies for school about 3 years ago. I tried to read the second book but I just got distracted and it didn't keep my attention for some reason. :/ Maybe I'll give it a go again.

Please continue to give me some suggestions!

Btw, I also reported Lilah :| Rick rolling is so stupid.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. It's better than Harry Potter (I've read them both)

Nothing's as good as Harry IMO although Hunger Games comes close. I also really enjoyed the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield and just started Gone by Michael Grant. Those are the only ones that aren't paranormal that I liked.

I reported Lilah by the way. Hard to believe people are still Rick Rolling, so don't click on it. Two reports will get it deleted (just sayin').

*edit* Good - I noticed all her answers are Rick Rolls. Wish I could think of more series, but if you want something more along the lines of realistic, try Crank by Ellen Hopkins and the follow up books Glass and Fallout. They're intense - about a girl addicted to crystal meth. Excellent though!

I liked The Heir Chronicles, also none of these are series but they all have sequels: Beautiful Creatures, Shiver, and Fallen. Dragons in our Midst is also a good series. I also liked The Host, even though it's not a series, it was fantastic.

Try Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials.
