How do I sign into PSN on 2 PS3 consoles on the same wi-fi network?

My friend and I are attempting to play Uncharted 3 co op at my house together. Both PS3 consoles were able to connect to my wireless router and my friend and I signed into PSN on our respective accounts. However, shortly after my friend logged on, PSN disconnected me. I did some searching online and got mixed results. Some people connected two separate accounts at the same time and everything worked perfectly. Some people recommended changing the PS3 IP address, but I had no luck in making this work.

Would wiring both PS3s directly to the router work better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it would work better to have both in the router (my friend and I have done that before and it was fine), BUT you wouldn't be able to play the same game online together with the same WiFi though. You would both have to play different games online. You would need TWO DIFFERENT IP Addresses to play the same game together in the same lobby. The router wouldn't be able to connect to itself because it's the same IP Address.

    Hope that helps.
