Please help me in Photography?

Do I have to attend photography school to be a photographer? I have an interest in being a photographer as my side job. I have a good camera, though where do I go to ge them develop if I wanted in poster sizes?

There's a lot more to being a photographer than owning a decent camera, I own a Steinway piano, but I'm no concert pianist.

The cheapest way to learn is to join a good photography club, you just can't beat going on a shoot with an experienced photographer, it will take around a year to use a camera effectively.

Add another year to learn post processing and to practice what you learnt in the first year..

Add another year as a good photographers assistant, and may be then you will have a product to sell that people will want to buy. Most people have a decent camera or know someone who has, as a Pro photographer you have to offer more than they can. The difference is experience and a sound knowledge base.

all you need to be a photographer is a camera... AND to be a GOOD photographer, you need to know what you are doing with a camera...

but most kids these days think that randomly clicking the shutter release and using childish editing sites makes photography good...

read books and websites, learn the basics, and then make a portfolio... then compare that with people who have the same camera and see where you stand...

You can learn by yourself. You can use the Search box at the top of this page and look for "basic photography". For printing, ask around digital printing labs. Test with smaller sizes first to see which one satisfies you before going into the more expensive huge sizes.
