Why is it that tax cuts for the extremely wealthy are not considered a 'handout'?

    Our laws favor those who have worked, some very wealthy also get social security but they are entitled. Having tax shelters are considered borderline illegal because the presumption is, they exist to hide money or to launder monies. Most tax cuts that I would consider handouts would be those for corporations that base making their products outside the country while selling the same products to the US.

    we have to give the rich tax cuts in order for them to be motivated to work

    we have to take away everything from the poor to motivate them to work

    allowing people to keep more of their own money that they earned is not a handout. taking money from someone who earned their money & handing it to someone else is a handout.
