He got introduced to me since more than a year till then. He talks to me daily for hours. He keeps telling me .. "You make me so happy every time we talk with one another" "I love talking to you" "You are lovely" "You are the best part of my day" "Even if you are down and having bad mood, you still make me happy when you share with me and I try to help you" etc.

He definitely seems to be alluding to a romantic interest, and his remarks are unusually civil, kind and warm, so I would be very happy. If you are interested, return the favor by telling him you like talking with him a lot as well, and see what happens.
