something is wrong with my temporary debit card?
today, i went to subway and when the lady was scanning my card, she said the computer said denied. when i tried to order an eclipse wolf pack poster on amazon, they send me an e-mail that something went wrong with my card. i just got the card today when i opened my bank account. what's going on?

Talk with the person at the bank branch where you opened the account. Perhaps they failed to properly activate the card. Or, if you opened the account with a check, they many not let you debit the account until the check has had time to clear.

You have to have money in the bank for a debit card. Do you have any money in the bank?
