When is it ok to wear a black memorial armband?
My Great Grandma died, and the funeral is in a different country so i can't go. Would it be ok for me to where my black armband on the day of the funeral?

Yes, Jack. It would indeed.
Mourning bands are usually worn when any loved one, family member or close friend dies. Whether you attend the funeral or not, it is worn as a sign of respect, and of your feeling of great loss.
It is not unusual for such an armband to be worn from the moment of death, to anything up to a month after the actual funeral.
I was a combat soldier in the British Army. Every November 11th, Remembrance Sunday, I wear my regimental blazer, beret and cap badge. I also wear a black armband that day, in rspect and remembrance of those many comrades who never made it back to the green fields of England, and who lie in lonely places far from home.
My condolences.
I know what it's like to lose those close to you.
