a. Use the zero product principle three times:
x+5 = 0
x = -5
x-3 = 0
x = 3
x+3 = 0
x = -3
So the three zeros are x=-5, x=3, and x=-3, each with a multiplicity of 1.
b. the graph crossed the x-axis at the three values of x given in the line above.
c. It's a cubic equation, so there are two turning points.
d. Looking at the graph, the function decreases monotonically at values of x less than about -4.1.
It increases monotonically at values of x greater than about 1.
