question on siilverado code p1416?
Yes Hello. I keep getting a p1416 code on my 2001 silverado. I cleared the code to get my truck smogged, however I have a bully dog tuner and I forgot to reset it to stock. My truck passed emissions but they failed the truck because the sensors were not yet reset. Also they said I had a broken hose on the air line to the air shut off switch. I replaced this hose on my passenger side that was completely broken in half. Could that be a fix to the code p1416 air system bank 2? thank you for any answers

The code is for the Secondary Air Injection system so if you do have any issues with the hoses or valves, then yes it is for that. And yep, that was why they made it that the code has to run & pass to keep people from clearing the codes just before arriving to have it inspected since if the code runs, if there is a problem, it will fail.
