How are tryouts going?

I'm not really worried about the returner tryouts, but it'll be a tough decision.

1. I'm trying out next week Thursday.

2. I'm going to be a Junior and I'm aiming on Varsity. I've been Varsity since Sophomore year.

3. I'm pretty excited for tryouts because I don't play volleyball for fun but I play it with pride and passion. I'm somewhat nervous when season starts because it's really competitive and I'm not sure about the other school's skills if they got better and we stayed the same.

4. I've looked forward being indoors because this past month we didn't have practice and I missed sliding on the floor and digging rather on a cement.

5. My favorite position is Libero but I ended up being the setter. I like being the setter but I love to dig for the ball. I can feel special wearing a different uniform than the other people.

6. I also play for Varsity Girls Basketball, Varsity Softball, and Junior Varsity Track and Field.

3. How excited/nervous are you (either for tryouts or the season to start)?

I'm slightly nervous. Last year only 28 people tried out so only 4 people got cut, but only 6 of the people were seniors last year so that doesn't open up very many new spots on varsity. I feel like I'd rather be on varsity and never play in the games than be on JV as a starter. But at the same time, I'm really excited for the season to start! I love school volleyball.

4. What do you look forward to when you play volleyball?

I love getting really great digs and really great blocks. I also love when the whole team is super excited and it translates into their playing, and every point we get is like the winning point.

5. What's your favorite position and why?

It's funny you ask this because over the club season, I literally played every single position. I like playing defense in the left back, but hitting opposite is awesome. I like being libero too, though, because there's no question that the ball is probably going to be mine, and it means I get to dig a lot of balls.

6. Do you play any other sports?

I snowboard competitively.

Im not too worried about tryouts this year! I just know to try my best!

1. My tryouts are not until sometime in August. There is no set date right now but at the moment we are doing open gyms!

2. I have not had tryouts yet. I wish the season would start sooner.

3. I am so excited for the season. We had a really good team last year so I have a feeling this year will be even better!

4. I look forward to passing a ball perfectly and for getting a hard serve over the net and getting an ace!!

5. My favorite position is middle back too! I just love the feeling of digging up a hard serve or hit and getting straight to the setter, which happens to be my sister! =)

6. Volleyball takes up a lot of my time but this year I am thinking about trying track. Im not sure yet!

This is my first time trying out for the high school team, I'm a freshman, but I've played for 8 years.

1. August 13th-15th

2. N/A (hope fully JV though!)

3. I'm both excited (to begin a new level of play and for the amazing experience) and nervous (that I'll be stuck on the C team, with a bunch of girls that don't take the sport seriously)

4. Getting an awesome ace/kill! Or digging an awesome serve or ace!

5. Libero: You can dig so many different types of balls, and that's the best feeling ever, knowing that you dug a super hard hit. Outside hitter: Being all like "woah!!! I can't believe that was mine!" and just killing the ball like there's no tomorrow.

Hey! I'm not freaking out. Its all a "been there, done that" feeling. The only thing I want is to be captain.

1. July 30th-August 1st But the returning players (me) have been practicing since June

3. I am so excited for the season to start! I am bubbling with excitement! I love the game I love playing I just love all of it. I am excited because I'm not a freshman anymore and I have friends on the team. It was hard being one of the 3 freshman on varsity last season

4. I look forward to a lot! I look forward to ordering the new warm ups, meeting the new freshman coming up, bonding with my girls, wearing my jersey to class, getting a record number of kills! So much to look forward too! I cannot wait!

5. I love outside hitter and libero. They are totally different but for my varsity team I am an outside hitter, and I love the feel of it. I like smashing it down the line or in a deep corner, I like blocking the opposite hitter. I love it. For national team, I am a libero I love pancaking lol!

6. Yes! I am starting BMX this year and I am super excited. But I Run track, and I did arsity swim last year. I think I'm going to play Varsity basketball this year! Oh! And I cycle.

2- Haha, well last year I made the seventh grade volleyball team, our middle school doesn't have JV or Varsity.

3- I'm really 50/50, but SUPER confident, 42 girls tried out last year and I made it!(:

4- I look forward to travelling and the adrenaline rush that I get.;D

5- My favorite position is setter, libero, or outside hitter, because they're just the most fun for me.(:
