What does this say about a person?

Or why would a person do this?

I know a person and in the past if I asked how they were feeling they'd say "why do you care how I feel" or "I don't want you to care about me" or something like that. Lately the person has been answering honestly.

I'm wondering if the person has feelings for me. Would having feelings relate in any way to a sudden change like I described?

Update:

When I say asked how they feel I mean anything like "how are you?" not just about their feelings.

Update 2:

In the past they'd ask why I wanted to know

Now the person would tell me how they're feeling. and by honestly I don't just mean in a civil manner. I mean they would tell me exactly what they're feeling. Things that personally I'd feel uncomfortable telling people.

Difficult to say, not sure of ages and you give little concrete information.

Person in the past sounds tetchy, moody and a bit miserable. Not very attractive. VERY adolescent behaviour.

Person in the present... well I am not sure what you mean by "honestly", but I assume you mean they answer in a civil manner.

Could be that said person has just grown up a bit and learned some manners.

I would say the person has gotten comfortable with you around or has merely had a change of heart.

Maybe she/he felt sory for you. Or maybe she/he likes you and wants you balls deep in them.
