How should I redecorate my room?

I'm 16 and in my room I have a Marilyn Monroe themed room, maybe you could buy some white furniture with bright pink walls and a couple of Marilyn Monroe pictures/canvases, hope this helped:)

Check out decorating magazines, free at the library, and other decorating websites to get ideas for what you like. Houzz.com, BHG.com, Pinterest and other sites are good starters. Craigslist.com has good bargains on used furniture that could be painted or not.

Paint the walls a faint color or neutral color, and (this is what I did with mine) you can put a bench in frond of your window and have storage under it (Bed, Bath and Beyond or Ikea), and have hanging decorations near it and change your bedspread to make a theme that is easy to match to but still eyecatching and have tons of throw pillows on it! If it's on the wall line them up there to make it like a couch! In one corner you can have your desk or a hangout with beanbags or comfy chairs and all your music stuff. On your closet door, you can have it so the center is made of glass (like those doors leading to outside, not the sliding kind) and put cds you don't need anymore shiny side out on the glass to make a funky pattern! If you still have room along your walls, and your bed ISN'T on the corner but the headboard is, put shelves all around it to make a shape like this: |=| plus you can have lote of colorful rugs on the floors! REMEMBER: light colors to make your room bigger, Ikea is a MUST, and mirrors WITH light colors make your room seem SO much bigger! Customize the rest to your heart's content!

Take a look at these sites for ideas. I know they are likely presenting rooms that are larger and use some expensive ideas, but you can take from their work to make something very nice of your own.

I have no idea my young friend......but for your age I would presume something with lots of pink and girly looking.

Pick colors that you want and go from there.
