i suddenly lost my confidence?

I lost a lot of my confidence over these last couple of days. Does this happen to any of you? I'm a 17 years old male. In addition, today is the worst, maybe it is just not my day. Nevertheless im the kind of person that always try to stay optimistic. When I did the SAT practices on the reading section i would rarely get any wrong. But today, when i tried last year test, i literally would only get half of it right, and would not understand what i did wrong. now i hesitate to answer on any of the questions. Second is my social life...its summer right now but all i do is hang out with my siblings and study. To sum it up, i dont have an active social life. Since summer started, i only hanged out with my friends 6-7 days. third is my appearance, i always thought i am above average but for some reason today i look horribly ugly..wtf is going on..last is my girl friend. we are doing long distance right now and she is a friendly person. a lot of guys like her because they misunderstand her friendly acts as being flirty. and today she post on like 3 different guys walls saying "ill email you" "i miss you" so on...she has always been like that but i cnt help but to be a little restless. help please? will i get over this or is it just a phase? and yeah my girlfriend...feel free to comment on that, a lot of people are against our relationship.

Firstly yes it has been happening with me for a while.

Just take a break from books and everyone.go spend a day somewhere on a random beach or cafe.meet new people.OR if that's not possible do something out of the routine.

Over come a fear u might have such as height pobhia or speed.best place to do that is an amusement park.I did that and it helped me boosting my confidence.

On the other hand,ur girlfriend talk to her about it.your now in a relationship and there's a line between being single and in a relationship.and she should understand this or else trust me a guy brains like u shouldn't be wasting time on her. :) just saying.

Lastly,u might be having those things like me where for a week u look ugly and not soo cool and that makes u feel u have always been ugly and unwanted.

    Its just a phase.

Go shopping, just cloths that make u look good, get a hair cut,got for a new look..

And remember don't ever feel being a bookworm makes u a looser or smthg.today's bookworm unwanted by all will surely be tomorrow's successful man wanted by all . ;)

    Have a blessed da!!yx

Even if it's true you study like a mofoer, there has to be some reason why you are doing worse on your tests instead of better. Reading instead of watching tv is important if you want to excel in language tests.

Yeah, we all got to live with our appearances...ugly beautiful whatever. Appearance is less important than performance.

You have peers, you could always try to go out of your way to do things with them. I am not really sure what you're looking for as I don't with most people's questions.

You are letting SAT results give you a distorted & negative perception of yourself and your view of things. This leads to fear > anxiety > insecurity > Questioning your GF > Depression > Desperation. A major blow to the ego is best resolved by solving the root cause of your insecurity but for now, study fot the SAT and do better. Then seek counseling and discuss openly about your issues.
