house plans question?
i bought a piece of land and now i am searching for house plans. i'm told they need to be architecturally approved. wheres a reliable source for such plans? that will 'fly' in NC with the building dept. i really don't even know where to start. i've found plans i like but don't want to just buy em and i won't be allowed to build for some reason.

Talk to the local inspecter who issues permits. Show him the home you have in mind. If the size and features meet local zoning rules get the plans. Technical construction methods are again discussed when you have blue prints. Working with the local building dept should solve constructon method issues for any plan.
