tiger shovelnose catfish help?

i have a baby tiger shovelnose catfish about 3''inch he live with 8''inch iridescent sharks can i slow down he's growth rate by feeding him catfish pellets or feeding him nothing in my pond

    Well, since its a small fish I would probably feed the Shovelnose well until it reached 5 inches.Feed everyday until it reaches 5 inches.

    At this time the fish should be big and strong enough to manipulate its feeding and slow down growth. A quality protein pellet is recommended. I didn't really understand the last part of your question but you can feed this fish live fish. After the fish is 5 inches cut feeding to every other day but feed it something quality and high in protein....

    Even a 5,000-gallon pond can be too small for the iridescent sharks after they develop up. As for tankmates, you'll be able to need fish which can be too colossal for those monsters you have in there to consume, which is a fairly constrained staff, when you don't forget the gigantic mouth and significant measurement of the shovelnose and the gigantic, massive, great dimension of the iridescent sharks.

    You sure can, but it will die shortly after. Why would you want to slow down the growth rate anyway?
