What else is going on?

Mass shootings are a horrible part of life, nobody knows what sets these people off, it could be any number of things. From being bullied in school, to someone who has a grudge about something and they want to send a message. The movie premier of the new Batman Movie with people dressed up as their favorite character, nobody suspected the shooter to actually blend in with the crowd. No warning no nothing. The shooter must have been planning this for sometime he came prepared.

They fear America because many people own hand guns, these attacks come from MK Altra brainwashed attacked designed to get the public to back a ban on hand guns. Dumblane resulted in a ban on hand guns and the sale of airguns at market stalls after people bought in to the media hype.

I used to buy into the anti gun ownership, but now I see the underlying issues here, the government can never become a dictatorship while its citazins are heavily armed, there is alway the threat of an uprising so the government can never have total controll. Hear in Britian we have no last defence if or when a situation like Germany or Yougoslavia happens.

In a free an open society I should have the right to be able to own a hand gun as a responsible law abiding person in order to protect my family. Here in the UK you are more likely to go to jail if you take action against an intruder! In America you have the right to shoot someone braking into your property.

Guns are not the problem its some of the people who own guns that are the problem. It is unfair that it is all the criminals and police who have the guns while the law abiding citizen is left unarmed and vulnerable. If more people had hand guns that shooter in the cinema would have been blown away after the first couple of round he fired, and less likely to have done it in the first place knowing everyone else was armed.

Switzerland has the highest gun ownership per head of population in the world, yet one of the lowest crime rates in the world, but this positive gun ownership example is never published or advertised, its always negative America that makes the news, there is no balance in the reporting. In Switzerland they have to do a years national service and are encouraged to keep their fire arms when they leave....not many house break ins in Switzerland, I would like the same opertuinity.

It is **precisley** the availability of guns which creates "gun culture" and "gun mentality" and which leads to incidents like the one in the Colorado cinema.

Its a vicious circle where one end feeds into the other.

Britian is not at all immune; our culture has changed **radically** in the last 50 years.

It wouldn't take more than a decade or two to create a large gun culture in UK.

Lol, lack of guns in England. Ever been to London, where you will find 95% of the perps are black. Guns are easily available in the US, in Colorado it said the gun laws are lax and you can virtually just go and buy one. If it wasn't guns it would be bombs, kvives or chemical warfare. You cant win.
