This is a very stupid question...
AMD is not a processor by itself, its a processor manufacturing company that makes a large range of computer CPUs and GPUs. This is the same for Intel.
AMD processors are geared more toward gaming and 3D graphics while Intel processors are more efficient with and are more geared toward office and home daily use. Intel can still run games and 3D graphics just not as well as an AMD counterpart.
The Intel Celeron is series of about 50+ below average to above average processors. So to answer this question it depends on what your looking to do with your processor?

Generally I prefer intel, but when you mention Celeron I don't. If anything could drive me to AMD it would be getting stuck with a Celeron. Of course any AMD processor comparable to a given Celeron processor is also a piece of crap. You're talking about the bottom feeders of processors here.
