Game of Thrones is outstanding, and I really liked Rome. Spartacus is pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. I don't even know if there are 10 shows in that genre...

Outside of that genre, you should try Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are both incredible shows. They are both so amazing that I can not even explain. The Legend of Korra is the sequel to Avatar. I'm talking about the TV series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and NOT the movie "The Last Airbender". Such an incredible story line to both shows with lots of story arcs and awesome character development.

Don't believe me that The Legend of Korra is very epic and also very dramatic? Google "Most dramatic show on TV" And The Legend of Korra will come up the most. There's other news about the recent Emmy awards, but Korra just came out this year so the show can't win any Emmys yet.

BOTH Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are very good so I'd recommend them both to anyone.

Television is only educational if you're watching a documentary or something similar

better watch a movie,than read a book.Of course,it is much easier to get a much better picture by watching the action(images),then browsing through all these portrayed words.
