My fledgling bird died, how?
I brought one in last night and placed it in a corner in mgy apartment patio, was OK till 5 AM but when I checked on it at 11 AM it was dead with wings broken and feathers all over the place....i dont have a cat , i live on the third floor....body is still in tact.......i put it in a medium sized wooden shallow open top box and found it outside the box....

i found it in our parking lot chirping .....on the road.....i picked it up and brought it home so that cars would not run him over...why blame me??? and why are you yelling at me? seems like you got issues my friend....

Obviously, you were trying to help the bird and do the right thing. Ignore the screamer. You do need to know that cats are not the only predators. There are bigger birds that will kill and eat smaller birds. There is no telling what happened to this one. The next time you find one like that, try putting it over in bushes or somewhere that the parents can find it. They will protect and feed it as long as they can find it and you'd be surprised how good they are at that.
You have to feed one if you take it in and that's not easy for someone without experience. Keep the good intentions. You're fine. You learn by mistakes and this is a learning experience for you.
