What are my chances of getting hired if I'm on the small side?
I'm applying to be a police officer at several agencies. I'm a 5' tall woman about 115 pounds. I'm currently working on getting my strength training done so I can have an edge as well as enrolling in several self-defense classes. I've interned with a Sheriff's Office and the Deputies there said I should be fine but normal people always say "aren't you a little too small?" Opinions?

you greatest talent should be talking to people. a good cop can difuse a situation without having to resort to physical combat

All i can really say is it never hurts to buff up a bit. Being in law enforcement as long as you can hold your own and now the right moves you'll be fine.
