Do you think this Ichro deal is bad for Baseball?
As much as I hate the Yankees I don't blame them, they are playing within the rules.
But i do think having 6 or 8 teams getting all the All stars does not make good competition

If you think that the Yankees are adding another all-star caliber player, you haven't been watching Ichiro lately.
Ichiro is no longer an all-star. His offensive production has fallen off dramatically over the past two years. He's still pretty good in the field, though his range is down, and the Yankees picked him up to play in a platoon with Andruuw Jones in LF, to fill some holes due to injuries. fortunately, the Yankees don't need him to hit all that much.
So, the Yankees picked up a role player and some cash for two prospects. Actually looks like a reasonable deal.

I like what the other guy said about it being like basketball. Because in the NBA a few all-stars makes a championship team automatically. The thing about the MLB is that no one player gonna carry a team. The better teams are the ones with the money so they're trying to get all the people possible to remain consistent, while alot of the not so good teams are waiting and seeing how it goes for some reason. Maybe they've already given up on this season.

I think it's great for baseball. It generates interest and it shines light on Ichiro's great career. I mean if you follow baseball you know all about his accomplishments but now that he's a Yankee he will be more popular to people who might not follow the MLB as much and if his numbers improve it will make his quest for 3000 a bigger deal.
And to answer your question about good teams having the talent, that always evens out. The teams that are buyers now could and probably will be sellers in the next few years. Just look at the Phillies and Twins and compare them to the Pirates and Nationals. Their positions have reversed.

Yes it is. Yankees are making moves to improve their OF situation since they lost Gardner. I hope you're not a Rangers fan!
