MTG Rules Question?....?

Basically I was just curious. I know that a standard constructted decks are 60 or more cards with a 15 card sideboard. I was just wondering if I was allowed to keep a couple of cards to the side if I were to enter a Legacy or Modern event and add those.

I have a zombie deck and have a full play set of Death Baron and Undead Warchiefs. Is it legal to keep some cards separate depending on the event? I work second shift and depending on my night off my local shop either has a standard or legacy event. Without those cards, I stand zero chance. With them I might win a couple of matches.

I've only been playing for about a year, so I don't have the Legacy cards, or the money to buy them to make a truely competitive Legacy deck.

You can set your deck or sideboard up entirely different depending on each event and format. So if you want, you can have two or more different sideboards, or even have a set of cards you switch entirely in your deck.

The only thing you need to do is keep your deck consistent within the single tournament event unless you're playing under some league rules.

You have to keep the same deck for the whole tournament (including sideboard) but you are more than welcome to change the deck around between tournaments.
